Lev 18:24 "Do not defile yourselves by any of these things, for by all these the nations I am casting out before you defiled themselves; 25 and the land became defiled, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you shall keep my statutes and my ordinances and do none of these abominations, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you 27 (for all of these abominations the men of the land did, who were before you, so that the land became defiled); 28 lest the land vomit you out, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you. | REPENTANCE, RESTORATION, REVIVAL | |
|
By Terry Somerville
A Paper on The Restoration of God's Purpose, God's People and God's Power in The Church. INTRODUCTION It has been supposed by many that the church of Laodicea in the book of Revelation represents the church in our own age. "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art luke warm and neither cold not hot I will spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable, and poor , and blind, and naked:" Rev. 3:15-17 |

A study of Nehemiah
by Terry Somerville We begin by looking into the book of Nehemiah for clues to God’s ways of restoration. The Jews were in captivity but a remnant had been allowed to live in Jerusalem. This is a picture of the western church. Nehemiah was a Jew who was cup bearer to King Artaxerxes. Beginning at chapter 1 we are looking for parallels to our situation and the Godly strategies of restoration Nehemiah used. |
