FEELINGS

1. What are they?  
-senses God gave us to function in the natural world
- made to enjoy and protect us

2. Feelings are unregenerated, and can lie
-emotions react to what is perceived, not what is true
-Psychosomatic pains

3.  Feelings are natural, not spiritual
-Carnal mind is enmity against God,  Rom 8:7
- Course of this world Eph 2:3

4. Feelings can be manipulated by demons
-Man's wisdom is earthly, sensual, demonic James 3:15

5. Feelings and the soul must be brought into submission to the spirit
-Test everything - is it fruit of the spirit?
- Take every thought captive to obey Christ  2 Cor 10:5
- Put to death what is earthly in you
-Don’t believe or act on unfaithful feelings

6. Faith must over come fallen feelings - redemption
-This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. 
-Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy..

7. Feelings are real, but faith is true, and of the spirit.
